Cowen advised Triton Partners on the acquisition of Kälte Eckert Group, a supplier of tailor-made, highly engineered, environmentally friendly refrigeration, and air conditioning systems for both corporate and private customers. The range of services in refrigeration technology includes the entire value chain from consulting and planning to installation, maintenance, and after-sales services. The group is located in Markgröningen in the Ludwigsburg / Stuttgart area. Sellers of the shares were VR Equitypartner GmbH and the founding family.
Kälte Eckert was founded in 1966 as a one-man business by Horst Eckert, focusing on the installation of refrigeration systems. In 2017, VR Equitypartner GmbH acquired shares in Kälte Eckert GmbH to support the growth strategy.

Founded in 1966 by Horst Eckert, the company is now managed by his sons Michael Eckert and Holger Eckert. In 2017, VR Equitypartner GmbH acquired shares in the GmbH to support the growth strategy. In 2019, the GmbH took over majority shares in Günther Kältetechnik GmbH, in 2020 Kälte Eckert acquired Gartner, Keil und Co. Klima & Kältetechnik GmbH and SOS Klimatechnik GmbH.
