Cowen advised Kunze Management- und Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH and Daniel Kunze on the sale of the operating business of the Kunze group to aiutanda GmbH and its real estate portfolio to Carestone Group GmbH.
Familienunternehmen Kunze was founded in 1996 as a home care service and is now the market leader in the Upper Lusatia region. Under the management of the founders’ son Daniel Kunze, the company expanded its range of services with specialization in outpatient intensive care, driving services, day care and a nursing academy. Today, the Kunze group has over 560 employees.
aiutanda is an association of outpatient healthcare companies and aims to become the market and quality leader in Germany. The new partnership with the Kunze group is a milestone in achieving this goal and expands aiutanda’s presence, especially in eastern Germany.

The company currently operates 15 facilities in 8 towns and employs more than 560 people. The company currently cares for and supplies approximately 620 patients in outpatient care (assisted living, touring care, out-of-hospital intensive care), day care facilities and inpatient nursing homes.

Founded in 2017, aiutanda is a Germany-wide association of outpatient healthcare companies that pursue a common goal: to create modern, individualized, and generation-appropriate care for people in need of assistance and care. The aiutanda group currently (as of December 2021) consists of 24 partners with a total of approximately 2,000 employees.
