Transaction
The Munich based Holler Foundation acquires CleanCar AG (“Clean Car”), a privately owned car-wash operator.
The foundation acquires an 85% stake in CleanCar from VR Equitypartner GmbH, Süd Beteiligungen GmbH as well as from the founder Dr. Peter J. Henssen. Blue Corporate Finance exclusively advised the sellers in the transaction. Both parties agreed not to disclose any transaction details.
Client
CleanCar provids interior and exterior premium car cleaning services and is present in Germany with 24 sites and three sites in Austria. The company offers oil and tire change services in Hamburg and operates petrol stations and shops at selected sites. The company has current annual sales of EUR 137m.
The charitable Holler Foundation was founded in 1990 by Christian and Asta Holler. The foundation’s assets originate from the insurance brokers Gradmann & Holler as well as Volkswagen-Versicherungs-Dienst (VVD). Recipients of the foundation include the SOS Children’s Villages worldwide, the Hildegard Hospice Foundation in Basel and the Volkswagen Art Foundation in Wolfsburg.
