Kurt L. Haras has over 20 years of investment banking experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, public offerings, corporate restructurings and business valuations. His transaction experience includes representing private companies, private equity firms and public companies in domestic and international transactions involving a number of industries, such as business services, consumer products, environmental services, distribution, industrial manufacturing and technology.
Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Haras was a founding member and Partner at Quarton International. Prior to Quarton, Mr. Haras spent nine years at W. Y. Campbell & Company where he was involved in over 70 M&A transactions and debt and equity placements. Mr. Haras also served as an officer in the investment banking department at Oppenheimer & Co. and worked in the Corporate Value Consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Mr. Haras graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Accounting and holds an M.B.A. with distinction from the University of Michigan. Mr. Haras is a certified public accountant and is a licensed securities representative, holding his Series 63 and 79 registrations.
Mr. Haras is married and has three children.
