Brian L. Baker has over 20 years of experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and both private and public securities offerings. His transaction experience includes representing private companies and public companies in domestic and international transactions involving a number of industries, such as agribusiness, business services, utility services, industrial services, and industrial and medical manufacturing.
Prior to joining Quarton, Mr. Baker served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance at City Securities Corporation where he advised clients ranging from family-owned companies to multinational, publicly-held corporations on domestic and cross-border merger, acquisition and recapitalization transactions involving companies based in United States, Canada, Europe, South America and Asia. Prior to City Securities, Mr. Baker practiced as an attorney with the law firm of Krieg DeVault LLP in the areas of corporate transactional law, financial institutions law, tax law and securities law. Prior to Krieg DeVault, Mr. Baker practiced as a certified public accountant with Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Mr. Baker holds a law degree from the Indiana University School of Law, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, and is a licensed securities principal and representative, holding his Series 7, 24 and 63 registrations.
Mr. Baker is married and has five children.
