After a very well-structured onboarding day, I was accepted directly into the Financial Consulting team, where I was given responsibility for my tasks after just a few days. I was able to take on tasks within the various phases of the entire M&A process within the scope of different projects – starting with the preparation of pitch decks and indicative company valuations based on trading and transaction multiples, to the preparation of financial plans as well as various company and market analyses, and finally to the consolidation of all this data in the information memorandum.

My diverse tasks don’t even let me notice how time flies. The teamwork is also outstanding. Overall, I can develop my skills enormously during the internship, gain numerous new experiences and make valuable contacts from which I also learn a lot personally. “During my three-month internship, I will support the Leipzig team in the Financial Consulting department.

The welcome and onboarding went remarkably smoothly. The daily project routine is varied and exciting. In FC, the scope of duties covers topics ranging from the development of pitches to the preparation and analysis of financial data to the execution of company valuations using DCF, multiples and, depending on the deal type, other methods. Especially in terms of modeling, evaluation discussions and also implementation creativity, you therefore learn a lot. For questions, everyone always has an open ear and is available with advice and support. The office culture is very pleasant, with an eye for the big picture, a good sense of community through team events and also strong integration of interns. The trust placed in me spurs me on from the start to tackle new challenges unerringly and also to take on larger tasks with a sense of responsibility.
